Premise Team and Associations Dr Ryan W Vachon - Founder and CEO
Ryan Vachon received his PhD in Geology
(with an emphasis on Climate Change) in 2005. Enamored by his own science and the on-going science around him, Ryan
chose a path of science communications, but taking on a 2 year Visiting Fellow position at the CIRES - University of Colorado
at Boulder and founded One Premise Innovative Communications in 2008 (while moonlighting as a geochemist). Ryan’s
skills as a scientist, videographer, host, editor, producer and multimedia presentation developer have rendered his growing
CV replete with exciting, diverse and well-recognized projects. Ryan leverages his aforementioned skills, athleticism
and raw enthusiasm to push boundaries of communication.
Dr Ethan
D Gutmann - Videographer and Concept Developer
Ethan has a PhD in Geology,
and currently works as a post-doctoral researcher at the National Center for Atmospheric Research studying the earth's
climate system. In addition, Ethan teaches at the University of Colorado, and covers science news for the website arstechnica.com.
He has traveled widely, climbing, filming and shooting photos in Nepal, Thailand, Peru and throughout the United States, with
trips to Africa and Pakistan in the works. His photos have been used by advertising campaigns and his video footage has been
used in movies on climate change as well as rock, ice and mountain climbing. Ethan is an asset to One Premise Innovative
Communications as an eye behind the camera yet is pivotal in concept development and breaking down complex science into bight-size
pieces.
Jessica McCrea-Vachon - Videographer and
Host
Jessica McCrea-Vachon has a year before she finishes her PhD in Veterinary Medicine. While immersed
in her studies she still finds time to follow her dream of communicating with the public about animal needs and rights.
This has lead her to host a film festival submisssion, "Paws of Huaraz", which is an exciting film that highlights
the qualities of life between urban and rural dogs in Peru. Jessica also has been an invaluable asset to One Premise
Innovative Communications when it comes to her skills behind a video camera.
